Merrick is Crawling

It is official... My little merrick mountain is crawling... he has been trying for a while now.. He even pulled himself up to standing in his crib on Sunday... But today I watched him move across the carpet to get a shiny pen off the floor... then he went for some office paper... Then i tried to get him to come and give me a kiss.. .he smiled and tried... but i was too far away... Video soon to come...

Before the pool closes for the summer we needed some more pool time... Haiden is so comfortable in the water now... It is awesome..

Sorry, no pictures this time... Chris thinks that I need to post more of him, so that people know I do have a hot hubby!!! :-)

What is new..
Merrick is now 7 months old, he is teething... he is trying so hard to crawl.. He gets up on all 4's and rocks back and forth.. He can stand for a short period over his leap frog toy.. He sleeps for 12 hours now... thank the lord! The only issue is he goes to bed around 6:30 and wakes up at 6:30... why can't he give me 30 more minutes?? Even if I put him to bed later, he still wakes up at 6:30am.

Chris and I have decided to hire an au pair from Germany... She is super sweet, and her name is Jacqueline... like my sis... She will be here in October..

Haiden is obsessed with the Phantom of the Opera. He has a phantom mask now, and wears it all around the house... I even found it under his stomach while he was asleep. He sings the songs daily and asks to watch the movie whenever there is down time... Move over spiderman... there is a new cap crusader in the house...

We miss our friends and family, but we are meeting very nice people here..Our neighbors are throwing a welcome to the neighborhood party for us tonight... how sweet is that?

Taste of Madison

My parents came to visit during Labor Day weekend... We decided to go to the taste of Madison. It was so fun... At every corner there was a beer line, over 70 restaurants lined up around the capital square. We ended the night at the Great Dane Pub and then watched Candlebox perform out on the Capital Square.

Merrick takes a bath alongside Haiden now... A little supported in his blue bathtub... I always think that I am about to give away a baby item, then I rebirth it... Merrick is so much safer in the tub w/ this thing around him... The tubs are so darn slippery here w the soft water... you need all the extra support you can get...

Mommy and her Boys...

Since Aunt Jacqueline arrived, there are so many pics of myself and my boys... It is awesome to finally be in some photos... even if I look tired... and have no make-up on at all... No one looks at me anyways... the boys are too cute... Daddy came home this night after being in New York for 5 days... we had a lot of parties while he was away... :-)
